TESTIMONIALS

Jack Douglas

Producer, Grammy Album of the Year (John Lennon, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, The Who)
“I have used both snares on tracks for this new Aerosmith album. They absolutely fit the bill. I am thrilled with them. All my best to you and thank you. You have created a fine instrument.”

Jonathan Burnside

ARIA Engineer of the Year Winner, ARIA Producer of the Year Nominee (Bernard Purdie, Sleepy Jackson, Grinspoon, The Melvins)
“I’ve been producing, engineering and mixing albums for over twenty years and have spent much of my professional life ensuring that the drums sounds in my mixes stand up to those on my favourite albums. Using Red Rock Drums, I accomplished this effortlessly.

During tracking, the drums tuned accurately and quickly and I didn’t have to waste hours with gaffer tape and equalizers to get clear, punchy tones. While concluding the final mixdown, I was impressed that little or no drum compression or eq was required, even on densely layered songs. The drums sounded meaty, articulated and balanced throughout.”

Philipp Mannel

Overseas Customer
“I became aware of red rock drums by chance and couldn’t resist to buy one of the beautiful snare drums I’ve seen on the pictures on facebook. Without ever having played or even heard one of these amazing drums I ordered one. The shipment was very fast and safe over the distance of about 10,000 miles to Germany.

I was and still am amazed of the sound, look and quality of my 14×6.5 jarrah snare with diecast hoops. The thickness and durability of the wood and the quality of the hardware will make it last forever! They also have best service I can imagine!”

Nick Huggins

Producer & Engineer (Whitley, Seagull, Hazel Brown, Psuche Ensemble)
“Red Rock Drums sound exceptional. The first time I heard them I thought ‘finally a kit that sounds just like the one in my head’.”

Steven Machamer

Orchestral Percussionist (Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, staff at Sydney Conservatorium of Music)
“I haven’t played a better drum at any price than my Red Rock 8 X 14 maple hoop snare drum. The materials and craftwork are excellent. Sound wise, the drum goes from classical, to rock, and big band with ease.

I have used natural calfskin and synthetic heads, played with sticks and brushes, and various levels of snare tension and I find that this drum comes as close to an “everything” drum as I have ever found… loud, solid “crack” on the back beat if you want it, while subtle rolls and brush work are ready to go with just a slight turn of the throw-off.”

Robert Gennari

Creator of JENARIUM
“These drums have opened up a world of devastating sounds to me. I love my drums and I know with confidence the quality of sound I produce with them. They are flawless, in the studio and out on the stage.”

Matthew Gray

Mastering Engineer
“I particularly enjoyed the kick drums and the toms were round and resonant. The snares had a lot of crack and nice punch in the low mids and overall I found these drums very easy to enhance. I only used very little corrective EQ and all the rest had only small amounts of EQ boosted at various frequencies which helped to bring out the natural tone. I also used a small amount of compression which brought out the attack, sustain and punch nicely.

Speaking as a drummer and a mastering engineer, I think any drummer or engineer would be happy to have drum sounds this good on their recordings.”
