ADD-ONS:
Take a look at some of the following possible items to spice up your order!
Tone Hoops | New dimensions in drum tones...
After years of wood hoop production, it became immediately apparent that we had nailed something completely different to any other wood hoops on the market we had tested before. Our beautiful curvy profiled 'Tone Hoops' do truly open new dimensions in drum tones; a vibrant resonance, a taper on the snare crispness, a musical click in the chock of the cross-stick, as well as a curve of sorts in the EQ, all toward achieving the earthy warmth you will hear in the video below.
These hoops are made in-house by Roger, with 5 layers of hard Australian timbers, Ironbark (Eucalyptus sideroxylon) and Karri (Eucalyptus diversicolor). They are only available to suit 8 lug drums with 12, 13 or 14 inch diameters.
Select these hoops as a pair for your current snare drum, or add them to your Red Rock snare drum purchase. Price: $345 per pair.
Matching Pens | Capture more creative ideas...
Peter Lucas first came to our attention during COVID lockdowns from his incredible gestures donating 'thank you' pens to front line healthcare and emergency workers. Roger heard of this and provided stave off cuts (see picture below) to help his cause, and so began this wonderful unique idea.
From now, order a stunning ballpoint pen made from exactly the same timber as your drum. This may be possible retrospectively if you received your drum recently - get in touch. Another cool feature is that if your drum/s has black nickel hardware your pen can have black trim, or if your drum/s has brass hardware your pen can have gold trim, at no extra charge.
Purchase a matching pen now retrospectively, or with your next Red Rock purchase. Price: $55
Matching Bass Drum Beaters | Clear, articulate and punchy...
Naturally, when Mat suggested to Roger (back in August 2017) that a wooden bass drum beater might suit his new Red Rock kit, Roger set about making one rather than unnecessarily going out to buy one. After much testing, a wonderfully successful design was settled on. It sure is about time we publicised these! You might have noticed Mat has used one in all of Red Rock's videos?
Beyond loving how the broad flat surface area can draw a big thumpy sound, we explored ways that the balance and feel of playability, un-compromised speed, and a range of power and volume, can be achieved with these. The icing on the cake is of course it is hand-made in-house by Roger to match your Red Rock drums. The Red Rock logo is now stamped on the top surface.

Matching Bass Drum Hoops | Perfect fit, perfect look...
We have felt for a long time that the boxes containing maple bass drum hoops from our parts supplier were hard to justify. They are shipped in their own boxes, with nothing in the space within. To curb the rising costs of shipping, reduce our carbon footprint, and to further develop ways we can increase the uniqueness of our products, Roger set about producing bass drum hoops in-house.
Conversations between Mat and Roger to produce these first began back in 2018, when Roger successfully tested 24 inch hoops for his own kit. Since then, we have brought to life a range of kits featuring matching bass drum hoops from Red Cedar to Spotted Gum, and everything in between.
This option is available with any bass drum order, for any bass drum size we have available. Add $115 to your next bass drum purchase, or purchase retrospectively for $295.
Antique Plated Hardware | Copper, Nickel, Brass...
For a long while just chrome, black nickel and brass hardware have been the available industry standard ‘colours’. We are now thrilled to have access to amazing beautiful Antique finishes, in antique copper, nickel and brass. There are currently limited tension rod, lug and hoop size options; a 13x6.5 Heritage is currently the only size, however an R4 or the standard GW845 beer-tap snare strainer can be fitted with the matching plating. Currently we have our badges and snare strainers plated to match the antique plated hardware finishes available to us.
